Our experience in imaging science goes back over fifteen years.
We were involved in the earliest phases of the introduction of image
processing to medicine and hold some of the basic patents in analog
optical computer design as a result. We have designed and built a
wide variety of systems and devices for these applications. We have
explored both the Analog and Digital domains using both Electronic
and Optical methodologies as means to implement image processors.
We are
currently involved in Hyperspectral Imaging using a proprietary
video camera that covers the spectral range of 0.5 microns to 25
microns continuously using an uncooled detector that achieves single
photon detection efficiency. We are preparing this instrument for an
upcoming
Space Shuttle mission, and it is being
considered for a future Mars exploration mission. This instrument,
in conjunction with novel software developed by one of our
affiliated companies, is capable of the passive detection of
chemical species. We are also evaluating its potential to detect
certain precursors to earthquakes.
