Hudson Research Inc. Receives
Patent for
Tunneling Optical Matrix Switch
The US Patent and Trademark Office has issued US Patent
6,842,573 for our Optical Crossbar Switch chip. This device is
designed to provide a switch matrix of any number of 50GHz wide
optical channels. Immediate applications in telecommunications
include significant reduction in the physical size of central office
switching matrices. The system incorporates an integral
amplitude adjustment function which eliminates the need for
